Hi, I’m Rikako, a qualified remedial massage and lymphatic drainage therapist. I run Lymph Haven, a private home salon for women in Coomera on the Gold Coast.

How Lymph Haven Began

I’ve always been curious about how the body works. My husband often ached all over, and I wished I knew how to help him. I was dealing with discomfort of my own, too. It was frustrating not knowing what I could do for either of us.

“Maybe if I learnt more about the body, I could help our family, even a little.” That’s what led me to study remedial massage.

During my studies, I discovered the lymphatic system. I still remember getting goosebumps when I read about how intricately it works and how much it does for us. I never thought a textbook could move me like that.

I also learnt that many of the people affected by lymphatic problems are women. That stayed with me and made me realise how much I wanted to support women through my work. That’s how Lymph Haven began.

What began as curiosity has grown into a real passion for understanding the body and its lymphatic system. I’m eager to keep learning and to use what I discover to better care for each person who comes to see me.

Before we begin, I’ll ask how you’re feeling and what you’d like from your session. Some days, you might want extra attention on an area that’s bothering you. Other days, you might just need time to rest. I’ll shape your session around what you need that day.
